Zara Jacket *sold out, Blouse Forever21 (this one is a staple!) , Trousers similar here, Heels in Black here |
As a girl who loves her statement pieces (jewelry and jackets mostly, occasionally a very loud trouser) I reverted back to the best advice you can have when dealing with such a loud piece: Let the statement (jacket in this case) do the talking and keep the rest simple, basic and clean.
The white, black and nude combo were a natural fit although finding the correct neckline under such a boxy jacket was a bit of a challenge. Usually opposites are good in those cases so that necklines don't compete. In this case pair a high neck jacket with a low cut blouse. At the end of the day no matter what incredible combos you think you could create with a bold piece remember that you bought it to be the statement, so let it be and stop trying to hard. Thanks for reading and have a fantastic Friday. Cheers!
Thank you for the inspiration! I have a black & metallic tweet jacket with chain detail that's shaped just like yours & in the months I've had it, I haven't worn it because I could never think of what would look right. Looks like I'll finally get some wear out of it this fall.
ReplyDeleteLove the pants and that you kept the back of the shirt untucked. You look fabulous.
